Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Settle is a general-wellness app and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
Settle (“we”, “us”) builds a gut-health and IBS tracking app. This policy explains what we collect and how we handle it. We designed Settle to be local-first: your health data lives on your device by default.
What we collect
- Health-tracking data you enter (symptoms, stool logs, meals, factors, notes). Stored on your device; synced to our server only if you enable cloud backup.
- Account data (if you sign in with Apple or Google): a user identifier and email used only to authenticate and sync your account. We do not store passwords.
- Basic app diagnostics (crash and performance data) to keep the app working.
How we use it
- To provide the app and its on-device insights (the Trigger-Finder runs on your device).
- To sync and back up your data across your devices, only if you turn on cloud backup.
- To process subscriptions via the App Store / Google Play.
What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We do not share your health data with advertisers or third-party data brokers.
Storage & security
Data synced for backup is sent over TLS and stored encrypted at rest on our own server, isolated per user. Authentication tokens are kept in your device’s secure store.
Your choices
- Export your data (PDF/CSV) anytime.
- Delete your account and data anytime, from in-app settings.
- Use Settle fully without an account (no cloud backup) if you prefer.
